The upcoming Australian Federal Election is your opportunity to have a say in the future of our country. Every vote counts, and your participation is essential in shaping decisions that affect our communities, families, and future generations.

Who Can Vote?

You can vote if:

  • You are an Australian citizen, and
  • You are 18 years or older, and
  • You are enrolled to vote with the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC).

Date: Saturday 3rd May 2025
Time: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Where: Your nearest polling place: www.aec.gov.au

🗳️ How to Vote

You can vote in three ways:

  1. On Election Day: Go to a polling station. AEC staff will help you if you’re unsure.
  2. Early Voting: If you can’t vote on Election Day, you can vote early at designated centres.
  3. Postal Voting: If you can’t attend in person, apply for a postal vote online.

Voting is Safe and Easy

  • Interpreters are available at many polling places.
  • Voting is confidential and your right.
  • You will receive two papers: one for the House of Representatives and one for the Senate. Follow the instructions on each paper.

In Australia, voting is compulsory for all eligible citizens.
If you don’t vote and don’t have a valid reason, you may receive a fine from the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC).

Make sure your enrolment is up to date and make a plan to vote.
